Screen Printed Poster

Co-Designer - Veronica Trevino

Representing my hometown of Holland Michigan, my co designer and I were a part of a larger collective. Highlighting the ever vibrant tulips in the area in lush, screen printed glory.

3D & Motion Graphics

Not all projects need to be a gruelling, lengthy process. This was a small challenge to test bringing an asset from blender to after effects in some capacity. I got very inspired by DS and 3DS games so I made a pixelated version to bring it full circle.

Portrait Collages

These exercises represent my love for collages and caricature art, I challenge myself to complete these in a specified amount of time.

An extra challenge I have is to complete it with as few different images as possible. My goal with testing my speed is to establish a quick design workflow.

This was inspired by my hobby of caricature/portrait drawing, though I may not be good at it, I enjoy the process of abstracting proportions.

Image Making Exercises

I frequently come back to collage and music inspired posters, I attribute it to their approach for “capital B, Bold and Big” visuals. I felt I need to included these designs since most of these include my common design systems.

‘Design is...’ Poster

This project was a collaboration between CCS student designers, each participant chose a different word that describes the relationship to design, I chose the word LOUD to represent my poster.

The primary reason I selected that word is because design is hard to ignore, it is all around us. Some designs are screaming for your attention, while others are whispering in their own little corner. Every aspect of design has volume.

My main inspiration for the visuals are rave posters and modern digital maximalist aesthetics. I wanted to incoorperate a bunch of assets to carry the energy and play with the idea of visual noise.

The one challenge we were tasked to adapt to was an element to transition into each other, making each poster a part of a larger sequence.
